RAPF to distribute Farmers to Families food boxes Feb. 11

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin has partnered with the USDA to distribute healthy food directly to high-need areas, free of charge.

The drive-thru mobile pantry will take place Thursday, Feb.  11 at the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry (RAFP). Distribution is expected to begin around 9:30 a.m.

There is a one-box limit and by accepting a box, citizens are certifying they are food insecure, lack money or other resources, and are in need of the Farmers to Families Food Boxes for their household use.

Enter behind the pantry from Carr Street, exiting onto Coon Street. The line will start at the RAFP driveway on Carr, to Coon, then right on  Newell Street. Line up on the side of the cemetery, but do not block driveways, entrances or exits.

Participants should have their vehicle’s trunk open or be prepared to load the box into the vehicle themselves if the trunk is not available. This is a no-contact pickup so everyone going through the line will be required to wear a face covering.
