Tax forms available at Rhinelander Library

Tax forms must be requested for curbside pickup only this year at the Rhinelander District Library! Forms may be requested by calling 715-365-1070 to request the forms you need and to make a curbside pickup appointment. Please do not ask the library staff to get you forms by stopping by the library building. The library is still closed to the public. You must call to make a curbside pickup appointment.
State of Wisconsin and Federal basic forms (1040, 1040-SR) including rent certificates and homestead forms have arrived at the Rhinelander District Library. Preprinted forms and booklets are limited in supply, and free to the public. Forms may be requested by calling 715-365-1070 to request the forms you need for curbside pickup.
Curbside pickup is currently offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m.; and Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m.-5:50 p.m. Call the library at 715-365-1070 to schedule a curbside pickup time. You can request 10 printed pages per person thanks to a generous donation by the Rhinelander District Library Foundation and Friends of the Rhinelander District Library. Donations to defray the cost of printing will be accepted and are much appreciated.
Hardcopies of booklets may be mail-ordered online by individuals at IRS.gov/orderforms or 1-800-829-3676. Wisconsin tax information is available on the internet at www.dor.state.wi.us. If you need forms not available at RDL and do not have ability to print them yourself, forms may be printed by request. You can request 10 printed pages per person thanks to a generous donation by the Rhinelander District Library Foundation and Friends of the Rhinelander District Library.
Rhinelander District Library and the V-CAT have a variety of books to help in tax preparation, including: J.K. Lasser’s “Your Income Tax”. Library staff are not qualified to provide tax form selection, preparation assistance, or specialized information.
RSVP Volunteers in Rhinelander will be offering Homestead preparation help for LOW INCOME and SENIOR (priority, aged 60+) persons who are not required to file a Federal and State Income Tax Return. Appointments are required and may be made by calling ADRC of Oneida County at 715-369-6170.
Certain forms for business use, such as the 1099 are not available at the library or online. The closest source for these is the IRS office in Appleton: 1901B East Capitol Dr. Appleton, WI 54911, (920) 996-4860 or Green Bay: 440 Security Blvd. Green Bay, WI 54313, (920) 662-5999, or by following instructions on the IRS website.
Please make note that returns may be filed as late as April 15.
