The Northern Edge girls hockey team made the trip to Eagle River to play their last regular season game before regional play begins on Friday in Green Bay against the Green Bay co-op.

Edge starting goalie Ellie Stank sat out the game with a knee injury so Rhinelander’s Hannah Mueller stepped in and played goalie for the game. Mueller managed had a 15-save night the first time ever in goal.

The Edge was unable to score against Northland Pines and it is tough to win without scoring a goal. The Eagles scored 7 times in the game, leading 0-2 after the first period, 0-5 after the second and a final score of 0-7 gave the game to the Eagles.

Lakeland's Izzy Boyer skates the puck across the blue line into neutral ice. Emily Kassler, No. 5, takes a shot on goal in the third period. Wyndi Saari moves the puck out of the Edge zone. IMG_9815W
