The Rhinelander Ruby’s Pantry leadership team recently shared a portion of their benevolence fund with several non-profit organizations.

Tracey Barnes, Ruby’s Pantry volunteer coordinator, presents a check for $1,000 to Tammy Modic, executive director of NATH/Frederick Place to be utilized for their organization.

Additionally, through the Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation, the organization provides a $1,000 scholarship to an RHS graduate who has volunteered with Ruby’s Pantry.

Ruby’s is a faith-based ministry that distributes corporate surplus food to families in rural communities. The Rhinelander distribution is the third Tuesday of each month at the National Guard Armory. Registration begins at 4 p.m. with distribution at 5 p.m. For a $20 donation, guests receive an abundance of grocery items. For more information, call 715-362-4792 or visit rubyspantry.org.
