Gaber Electric, a fixture in the Rhinelander business community since 1967, is closing its doors. The closure takes effect Friday, Dec. 18. Brothers Dave, left, and Tom Gaber said the decision was made with mixed emotions.

“We have been very fortunate to have worked with so many wonderful customers, contractors, vendors and local businesses throughout the past 53 years,” they stated in a news release.

Dave and Tom thanked everyone for being part of their story, which began when their parents, Gene and Bernice, started the business and allowed them “to work in such a great community.” Dave said he will continue to work in the electrical trade in the area, as Tom looks to pursue different goals.
