BOYS BASKETBALL

Mosinee came to the Jim Miazga gym Friday night to play the Hodags. The rosters had many of the same names as the football teams from both squads. Basketball was out to duplicate what football did and that is to defeat Mosinee.

The first half ended with the Hodags holding on to a slim one point lead 21-20. The second half was a different story as the Hodag pressure defense forced turnovers that turned into fast break points and the Hodags held on for a 71-57 win. Leading the way for the Hodags was Travis Towne with 24 points followed by Quinn Lamers 17, Jacksen Smith 10 and Ross Skeen 9. Photos by Bob Mainhardt.

Ross Skeen goes above two Mosinee defenders for a basket for 2 of his 9 points. IMG_1725W IMG_1663W Jacksen Smith puts in 2 of his 10 on a drive to the basket.
