Boys Swimming: Hodags dominate in home win

Sophomore Daniel Gillingham placed second in the 100 yard butterfly to Jack Antonuk while Jacob Schoppe earned a thirdplace finish to complete a sweep in another event.

Tuesday night the boys swim team hosted their second conference meet, welcoming Shawano. The boys were trying to duplicate what the girls did in conference meets and not lose any events.

The feat is a difficult one and was still possible until the 500 yard freestyle swim when Shawano won the event and the Hodags placed second and third. The rest of the meet went Rhinelander’s way as the Hodags won 130-40. The 500 was the only event to not go the Hodags’ way. Photos by Bob Mainhardt.
