Obituary: Barbara Hansen

Barbara Kay (née Polarski) Hansen, age 77, a resident of Three Lakes, died Wednesday Nov. 4, 2020 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. She was born Nov. 8, 1942, in Rhinelander to Raymond and Ethel Polarski.

Barbara worked as a paraprofessional for the Three Lakes School District for 45 years.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, humming birds and family gatherings.  Barbara was the best mom in the universe, had a kind heart towards her grandchildren and will be missed for her sweet and sassy personality.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Gerrianne (Pierre) Rawoens; son, Robert (Mary) Hansen; grandchildren, Piersen and Marshall Rawoens; brothers, Jim (Carol) Polarski, Frank Polarski; sister, Sue (Carl) Hansen; sisters-in-laws, Donna Polarski, Emmy Jarvis, Dee Anderson; as well as many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, other family members and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Hansen; parents, Raymond and Ethel Polarski; brother Joseph Polarski.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday Nov. 9, at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Three Lakes, Cemetery.
