Bus routes in the School District of Rhinelander (SDR) have been impacted by COVID-19. A letter to parents Monday states that some Bowen’s Bus Service staff have tested positive for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

No students have been identified as close contacts to any of the positive staff. Close contact means those who were within six feet of the individual for greater than 15 minutes during the infectious period.

Monday afternoon bus routes may be longer than normal, as Bowen’s is attempting to rearrange routes and at the same time maintain safe physical distancing and follow mitigation strategies.

Three bus routes – 26, 36, 39 – will not run Tuesday, Nov.3. Alternate transportation arrangements will need to be made for these students. Future temporary changes will be announced as the school district is notified by the bus company.
