Tomahawk woman identified as victim of Thursday car crash

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the person who was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday on Hwy 8 near County Road N.

Carol J. Brown, 76 of Tomahawk, died en route to the hospital, while being transported by helicopter. Brown was a passenger in a westbound vehicle that reportedly collided head on with another vehicle shortly after 10 a.m. Sept. 17.

The drivers of both vehicles were injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation.
