Junior Noelle St. Pierre won the 100-yard breaststroke.

Star Journal Report

Tomahawk was the site of the first swim meet of the season for the Hodag girls swim team. The meet was held without spectators which made it a very quiet meet.

The Hodags’ depth and a small Tomahawk made for a lopsided score in the Hodags’ favor.

Rhinelander placed first and second in every event and placed third in five of seven individual events. Makenna Winnicki, Malia Francis and Abi Winnicki paced the Hodags taking firsts in each of their four events, two individual and two relays each. PHOTOS BY BOB MAINHARDT.

Karis Francis swam the anchor leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay. IMG_9127W Malia Francis won the 100-yard freestyle race with a time of 55.78 seconds. IMG_9169W Maria Heck placed second in the 500-yard freestyle. Malia Francis won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.97 seconds. Samantha Sundby placed second in the 500-yard freestyle.
