Dedication of the new Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw was formally dedicated Aug. 14. The ceremony, which was not open to the public, was attended by members of the VA’s National Cemetery Administration.

The cemetery can provide burial needs for more than 38,000 vets, their spouses and eligible children.  Provided will be casket burials, in-ground cremation burials, columbarium niches (pictured here) for cremation burials and a memorial wall.

The plot, opening and closing of the grave, headstone or marker, crypt or grave liner, and perpetual care and maintenance are all provided free of charge.

For more information, call the National Cemetery Scheduling Office, 800-535-1117.
