Rhinelander man faces federal child sex charges

A federal grand jury in Madison issued an indictment of attempting to entice a child against Richard M. Duellman Wednesday. Duellman was arrested July 21 in Rhinelander by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office. He is charged with using text messages and telephone calls to persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Duellman’s arrest was facilitated by an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation involve the sheriff’s office, Rhinelander Police Department and Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation.
If convicted in federal court Duellman faces a minimum 10 years and a maximum of life in federal prison. Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman is handling the prosecution.
