Rhinelander High School class of 2020 will have the chance to put their caps and gowns to work. District administrators announced plans and requirements for an in-person graduation ceremony to take place 7 p.m., Friday, July 31, at Mike Webster Stadium. Mandatory practice will take place at 9 a.m. the same day.

Students from a single household will be allowed up to two tickets for family guests to attend and students from a dual household will be allowed to receive up to four tickets. The ceremony will be streamed lived on Facebook.

Among the requirements will be face masks for all students and guests, physical distancing while seated, and all in attendance must leave the stadium area after the ceremony with no groups congregating. Students will also be required to fill out a contract tracing form with the names of their guests and administrators and students will not shake hands on stage.

If the weather does not allow for an outdoor ceremony, a “senior recognition parade” will take place instead, at 7 p.m., July 31.

Attendance is not mandatory; students who do not want to attend are asked to call the high school main office during school hours, 715-365-9500 ext. 8535 and speak to Megan Marchant.
