Oneida Co. sees highest one-day COVID-19 total

Free COVID-19 testing at JWMS 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14

The Oneida County Health Department confirmed that eight people in the county were diagnosed with COVID-19 July 13.

Five of the eight individuals have been in close contact with someone who has previously tested positive for the disease caused by the novel coronavirus; the other three have no history of travel and no known contact with someone who has previously tested positive.

All are self isolating; two individuals have been released from isolation as of July 13.

Investigations and contract tracing are underway.

As of July 13:

Test Results

3,745 total

113 pending

3,592 negative

40 positive

Confirmed cases

40 total

18 active, in self-isolation

22 recovered

0 currently hospitalized

0 deaths
