Lake Tomahawk woman charged with attempted homicide

A Lake Tomahawk woman arrested earlier this week in connection with a domestic dispute was charged in Oneida County Court Wednesday with attempted first degree intentional homicide, aggravated battery and operating a firearm while intoxicated.
Christine R. Stammler, 58, called the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office early Monday morning to report she had shot her boyfriend in the right shoulder. The victim was transported to a Wausau hospital and Stammler was taken to the county jail.
Judge Patrick O’Melia set a cash bond for Stammler at $25,000. Her next court appearance is scheduled for June 29.
