Scholarship foundation to hold virtual ceremony
STAR JOURNAL
The Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation (RASF) annually holds a ceremony to award graduating seniors hundreds of thousands of dollars in college scholarships.
The organization will do the same this year, but with one change. RASF will hold a virtual ceremony 3 p.m., Sunday, May 17.
The community will be able to view the program using a YouTube link that will be attached to the RHS website homepage, https://www.rhinelander.k12.wi.us/schools/rhs/
Members of the RASF Board of Directors and Rhinelander Area School District employees, will pre-record a presentation to honor both the achievements of the class of 2020, along with the donors who make this event possible.
The presentation will include donors’ names, a brief biography, and amount of award being given. A senior picture of the RHS student will be displayed, along with a description of intended major and school of choice. Scholarships will be awarded alphabetically by scholarship name.
According to a press release from RAFS, “This is an opportunity for students, donors, friends, family and the community to celebrate the generosity of our donors and witness the culmination of hard work and perseverance from the RHS Class of 2020.”
