IRON MOUNTAIN – The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center is now offering a daily call-in support group to all veterans. The purpose of the call is to give veterans an opportunity to gain support and stay connected during this unprecedented time. Vets are not required to be enrolled in VA health care to be connected to other Veterans that are trained in support.

“The wellness and mental health of our Veterans is a priority. We know that many people may be experiencing increased stress as we are all dealing with changes to our regular routines,” said Amy Fowler, local recovery coordinator.

“We want Veterans and their families to know that mental health providers at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center are here and we are exploring creative ways to continue our mission to provide exceptional care and to offer additional support when it is most needed,” Fowler continued.

The call can be accessed Monday through Friday 1-2 p.m. The phone number to join the call is 800-767-1750, when prompted enter the code 56125. Feel free to join the call one time or utilize the call frequently.

For more information, call 906-774-3300 X 32541 and ask for Amy Fowler.
