Criminal justice students donate to RPD K9 Unit

Students in Nicolet College’s Criminal Justice Club recently completed a fundraising project that resulted in a $500 donation to the Rhinelander Police Department’s K9 Unit. Rhinelander Police Department Officer Mark Raddatz talked with the students about the K9 Unit and with K9 Jason, performed a drug sniffing exercise.

Students in the Criminal Justice Club are, in front, MaryBeth Tienhaara, Ceara Clarke, Cathryn Wohlleber, Brielle Tauer; second row, Jason Higgins, Matthew Fessenden, Michael Bryner, Ethan Snyder, Joseph De La Vega, Lara Redmond, Hannah Schade, Cole Leggett, Ryan Lieder; back row, Phil Schmidt, Nicolet criminal justice instructor, Zackery DuBois, Ian Conkey, Jesse Fabianski, Reed Symonds, Nathan Riesbeck, Thomas Ginter, Jaymie Welch, Amanda Hinz, John Doane, Mariya Tuckwab and Damian Adkins.

The club’s next fundraising project will benefit the Crandon Police Department K9 program.
