Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) staff and a Minocqua Winter Park representative will discuss the role Northwoods Land Trust played in the 3,195-acre conservation easement at Minocqua Winter Park. The public is invited to attend the event which is followed by skiing or snowshoeing some of the trails.

“Exploring the trails via ski or snowshoe is a great way to observe some of the beautiful habitats in the Northwoods,” said Troy Walters, NWLT outreach coordinator.

The event will take place 1-4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24. Attendees should meet at the Minocqua Winter Park Ski Chalet in Minocqua. Participants will be snowshoeing 1.5 miles over uneven terrain or skiing at least 3.5 miles to explore the diverse trails. Day passes are required. Snowshoe and ski rental are available at the Minocqua Winter Park Ski Shop. Register in advance, 715-479-2490 or email [email protected]
