Forestry award given to CAVOC committee

The School District of Rhinelander School Forest Advisory Committee for the Cedric A. Vig Outdoor Classroom (CAVOC) in Rhinelander recently received the “Chairman’s Special Achievement” award. Bob Hermes, president of the Lumberjack Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc., presented the award as part of the organization’s 2020 Sustainable Forestry Award program. This award is presented to individuals or groups for outstanding contributions in promoting good forest stewardship through education and/or example.
