Obituary: Robert Orgeman

Robert “Bob” A. Orgeman, age 72 of Rhinelander, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. Bob was born July 29, 1947 in Antigo to William A. and Ione E. (Haferbecker) Orgeman.

He was drafted into the Army where he served in the 23rd Infantry during the Vietnam War, from 1969-71. During Bob’s second tour in Vietnam he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery and valor in a hostile situation.

Bob is survived by his wife, Merri; children, Chris (Stacey) Orgeman of Birnamwood, Kerri Orgeman of Antigo and Erin (Joe) Rozanski of Pewaukee; four grandchildren; two brothers, William (Kathy) Orgeman of Green Bay and Tim (Peggy) Orgeman of Hudson;  nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by one brother,Dennis Orgeman.

Visitation for Bob will be held 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Hildebrand Funeral Home, followed a 3 p.m. memorial service with full military honors. In honor of Bob, memorial contributions may be given to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 1253 Scheuring Rd., De Pere, WI 54115.
