Newspaper delivery changes in the new year

Dear Readers,

On Jan. 15, the Hodag Buyers’ Guide Star Journal, a Multi Media Channels publication, will be delivered to you via the United States Postal Service.

It’s become increasingly difficult to find newspaper carriers to fill open positions. The mail delivery system will provide service in the seamless manner we need to get timely news and information to your home.

As you are aware, the Northwoods has seen an unemployment rate decrease from over 13% to 3% since 2010. We are seeing a worker shortage has that is not expected to go away in the next decade. This places our services at a disadvantage.
Utilizing the postal service will ensure on-time and consistent delivery as well as allow us to reach areas in certain communities we were unable to service in prior years.

The change in delivery will assist us in providing the product and service that the community and our advertisers request and deserve.

The Buyers’ Guide Star Journal will continue to be available at several drop points at local businesses, including Friendship House and Trig’s, to provide additional availability to the communities we serve.

We wish you the best in the new year, as we work to provide the best products and services to the communities we serve.
