Thursday, Jan. 2 is Dianne Jacobson’s last day as director of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Oneida County. After nearly 23 years leading the center, Jacobson is retiring. An open house will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday at the center to celebrate not only Jacobson’s retirement, but also several other milestones in the new year.

Jan. 1 marks the one year anniversary of the ADRC of Oneida County, following the re-branding of the former Department on Aging by becoming a fully “integrated” ADRC combined with the Aging Unit. The Open House will also showcase some recent facility improvements, mostly seen in the dining room. It now has a more café-like environment with various seating options. New cabinets serve as a sound barrier between the dining room and reception and provides needed storage space. In addition, the waiting areas have improved seating. New carpet has also been installed.

Joel Gottsacker will be the interim ADRC director after serving for the past three years as assistant director.

The ADRC of Oneida County is located at 100 W Keenan St in Rhinelander (across the parking lot from Trigs). For more information about the ADRC or this event, call 715-369-6170.
