Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Disney Newsies – The Musical is the tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies “newsies” from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!

Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman.

Co-Director Kristin Higgins promises a show that will be exciting for the whole family. “Our cast will dazzle you with amazing singing and dancing. We’re excited about our set as well. We think this will be one of our best shows ever!”

Performances are Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 21-23 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. at the John and Dori Brown Performing Arts Center at Rhinelander High School. Tickets are $5 and available at the door.
