John E. Coyle, age 83 of Rhinelander, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019. John was born Jan. 6, 1936 in Madison to Leo and Clara (Stoppleworth) Coyle. He served in the Navy in San Diego during the Korean War.

John is survived by his wife, Dolores; six children, Sharon Kind of Wausau, Patrick (Mary) Coyle of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Joseph (Tina) Coyle, Phillips; Lou Anne (Tim) Sexton of Mendota Heights, Minn.; Michael (Michelle) Coyle of Superior, and Daniel (Terese Fuller) Coyle of Hazelhurst; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Colleen Maier of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Mary Carlson of Middleton; brother, Tom (Sally) Coyle of Lake Forest, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives; and special friends, Dan and Janice Pienkowski. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Joseph Maier.

Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, at Hildebrand Funeral Home. A parish prayer service will take place at 6:30 p.m.  A second visitation will be held Saturday, Nov.9, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
