Woman’s Club funds new library restrooms
The GFWC Rhinelander Woman’s Club has given the Rhinelander District Library Foundation (RDLF) $10,000 to renovate the library’s restrooms. The two organizations have been collaborating for more than 100 years, since the Woman’s Club collected books and raised money in 1898 to create a library in the city.
The club also donated $3,500 for the 2020 Summer Reader Program, young adult and college prep materials and Books on the Go. During the renovation, library patrons will be able to use a portable toilet in the library parking lot. The project is expected to be completed the end of October.
