In addition to the Project North Festival events taking place downtown Rhinelander this upcoming weekend, Rhinelander District Library is hosting free School of the Arts (SOA) Legacy program events.
Friday, Sept. 27
2:30-3:30 p.m. Poetry Reading by SOA poet Kate Vagnino
2:30-4:30 p.m. Create your own Personal Spirit Flags with SOA artist Elizabeth Lewis in the Family Tent outside the library.
1:30-4:30 p.m. GIANT games in the family tent outside the library.
3:30 p.m. Manhattan Short film festival. Join RDL Sept. 27-Oct. 5 and be one of more than 100,000 film lovers to view and vote on the finalist films. Manhattanshort.com/finalists.html.
Saturday, Sept. 28
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sidewalk Chalk Art
4:30-5:15 p.m. Outdoor Storytime in the Family Tent outside the library
1:30-3:30 p.m. Learn more about potatoes! The Spudmobile, developed by the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers, will be outside the library
2:30-4:30 p.m., Community Gesture Painting Mural with SOA artist Elizabeth Lewis. Combines doodling with whole body movement
2:30-3:30 p.m. Writing and Publishing Practicum featuring local, award-winning authors. Q & A for anyone interesting in writing to publish
4-5 p.m. Inga Witscher’s Around the Farm Table. Inga will demonstrate the creation of a Smorgastrata, a Scandinavian-style sandwich cake
3-3:45 p.m. Family concert with Dave Dall in the Kids Tent outside the library
4:30-5:30 p.m. Eco Art Project in the library Kids Tent
