Members of the Rhinelander Lions Club, like Linda Campbell pictured here, will be collecting donations for White Cane Day Friday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday Sept. 14, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Trig’s and Walmart.

All the funds collected by the Lions members will be used to provide vision screenings, attendance to the Wisconsin Lions Camp and benefit the Wisconsin Eye Bank and leader dogs for the blind.

The Lions have aided the blind since 1929 when Helen Keller asked the clubs to be the Knights of Sight for those with vision disabilities.
