UPDATE: The Wisconsin State Patrol has released the names of two of the victims in Tuesday’s single vehicle crash in Iron County. Deceased is Anthony David Nelson, 39 of Lake Tomahawk. Hospitalized were Dawn M. Knorr and an unnamed 16-year old, also from Tomahawk.

A single vehicle crash on US 51 in Iron County Tuesday morning claimed the life of a 39-year-old Lake Tomahawk man.

According to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, a white Ford sedan traveling north on US 51 near the intersection of Highway 182 left the road and struck the east ditch. The male driver died at the scene. A 44-year old female and 16-year-old male passenger, also from Lake Tomahawk, were transported to the Howard Young Medical Center. The female’s injuries were listed as life threatening.

No names have yet been released. The accident remains under investigation.
