Boulder Junction will kick-off the Colorama season with back-to-back weekends of food and fun in September.

On Saturday, Sept.14, the town will host its 27th Annual Colorama Arts and Crafts Fair, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Boulder Junction Community Center.

Join in on the festive fall fun as 50 arts and crafts exhibitors come together, both inside and out at the Community Center offering a fine array of arts and crafts items. Stroll through the farmer’s market and select from a variety of late season fruits and vegetables, as well as fall decorations including pumpkins, hay bales and corn stalks while enjoying the coffee and pastries that will be available during the morning hours. Boulder Junction’s many unique shops and galleries will also be open for business during the event
Be sure to stop by and enjoy the Boulder Junction Chamber’s ever-popular BBQ venison plate lunches, which includes a BBQ venison sandwich, chips, pickle, cookie and a soft drink, all for $6.

Then on Saturday, Sept. 21, the Boulder Junction Lions Club will host the traditional 60th Colorama Dinner at Camp Manito-wish YMCA’s historic Nash Lodge.

This annual fundraising event to benefit North Lakeland fourth and eighth grade spring class trips, will feature a delicious family-style chicken and wild game stew dinner complete with all the fixings and topped off with fresh baked pies from Chad at The Bakery.
Students from both the fourth and eighth grade classes will be on hand, with fourth graders doing set-up work and eighth graders serving the dinner. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m.

This is usually a sell-out event so advance tickets are recommended and can be purchased at the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce. Ticket prices are $17 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under (check or cash only). Table reservations for parties of 10 are welcomed. Parties of less than 10 will be seated on a first come, first serve basis, so arriving early is encouraged.
Both events are open to the public. The Boulder Junction Community Center is located at 5392 Park Street in Boulder Junction.

For more information on either the 27th Annual Colorama Arts and Crafts Show, or the 60th Colorama Dinner, call the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce at 715-385-2400, or log onto www.boulderjct.org.
