Rhinelander welcomes new teaching staff

It was orientation day Wednesday for the new School District of Rhinelander professional staff.

The day was hosted by the school district, Rhinelander Partners in Education (PIE) and the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce. Staff spent the morning learning about School District procedures and information followed by a “Welcome to Rhinelander Tour” led by representatives from the District and Rhinelander PIE.

Traveling on a bus, the group visited school buildings and other important areas in the community.  During lunch at CAVOC, they were addressed by a variety of community leaders who provided information while welcoming them to the community.

Staff in attendance included, in front, Miranda Berndt (grade 5, Pelican), Susan Padgett (math, JWMS), Karlee Juedes (grade 5, Crescent), Colleen Porter (kindergarten, Central), Kristin Nedset (math, JWMS), Patti Conley (English, RHS), Alena Holman (grade 1, Central), Polly Wiley (grade 5, Crescent), Ashley Kitzerow (grade 1, Central), Rachel Sieker (English, RHS), Martha Walentowski (grade 4, Pelican), Angela Stafford (4K, Central), Samantha Hoppe (English, RHS), Melanie Roesler (special education, Pelican), Diana Budde (art, JWMS/RHS), Chad Dorshorst (technology education, RHS).

In back, DeDe Gibbs (special education, JWMS), Megan Cihla (science, RHS), Deborah Heller (grade 4, Pelican), Madeleine Piburn (grade 4, Pelican), Monica Fenlon (grade 2, Crescent), Jim Povolo (physical education/health, RHS), Matthew Nichols (science, JWMS), John Santy (family and consumer education, JWMS), Jarod Benrud (physical education, JWMS).
