Laser Pros Babe Ruth champs
The Babe Ruth regular season championship game pitted top seed Laser Pros International from Rhinelander against No. 2 Eagle River blue Monday night.
Eagle River won the coin toss and was the home team at Stafford Field. Laser Pros batted first and scored two runs in the top of the first. Starting pitcher for Laser Pros, Jordan Kucxmarski, struck out the side in the bottom of the first for a great beginning of the game.
The Rhinelander team went on to win in five innings, via the mercy rule, 12-1 to take the regular season championship. Playoffs involving all the teams begins Thursday. Photos by Bob Mainhardt.
