Vilas County’s newest deputy is K-9 Stitch
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed its newest deptuty, K-9 Stitch. Stitch and K-9 handler, Deputy Amanda Drewsen completed a 12-week training course June 28.
Stitch is a Belgian malinois and is trained in narcotics detection, criminal apprehension, tracking and search and rescue. Drewsen and Stitch are the second K-9 team in Vilas County.
