Nicolet College hosted hundreds of seventh graders from around the area Friday for some career exploration. Students looked at the insides of Ponsse timber harvesting equipment via virtual reality, stopped by booths to learn about natural resources, cosmetology, police science and a host of other potential career options.

In addition to providing an early look at career paths the middle schoolers may be interested in down the road, the college wanted students to know they could get their career start without leaving the Northwoods by attending Nicolet.
