Obituary: Richard R. Hunter

Richard R Hunter, age 91 of Rhinelander, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. He was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Rhinelander to Jesse and Ruth (Swanson) Hunter.
Shortly after high school, Richard joined the Army and served during World War II in the Pacific theatre. He was a recipient of the World War II Victory Medal.
Richard is survived by his wife Judith; five daughters, Pam (Reggie) Gray, Patricia (Larry) Kelly, Peggy (Adam) Freeman, Tammy (Jim) Flory and Tina (Mike Cress) Gatto; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marlene Tushoski; brother, Denny (Pat) Hunter; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas; sisters, Joan Price and Jean Quade; and his brother, Jack. Arrangements are incomplete at this time. (Carlson Funeral Home)
