Friday, March 15

The Northwoods Ukers: Every Friday from 2-3 p.m. at Olson Memorial Library, Eagle River. All welcome to learn, jam and have fun.
Around the World in 80 Days: 7:30 p.m., Nicolet College Theater. See the National Players theater troupe act out the classic 1873 tale during this Nicolet Live! Performing Arts Series. Purchase tickets online at nicoletlive.com.

Saturday, March 16

St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 1 p.m., Downtown Rhinelander. Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day weekend!
Minocqua Community Lighthouse Meeting: 9:30 a.m., Woodruff Community Hall. Featuring Wynne and Lisa Morrison, pastors of The River Church in Waupun. Door charge; no reservations. Call 715-891-5459 for information.

Monday, March 18

Trading Card Games: 3:30-5 p.m., Rhinelander District Library. Open play for teens to play Pokemon, Magic and Yu-gi-oh! and others, the first Wednesday and third Monday of each month. Spring Break Special Robotic Fun: Rhinelander District Library. Children are invited to stop by any day this week to experiment, build and create with robotic gadgets.

March Mindfulness Loving the Life You Have: 1-2:30 p.m. at Ascension Koller Behavioral Health on Kabel Avenue. Offers skills to navigate thoughts, feelings, reactions and stressors that are part of everyday life. For more information, 715-361-2805.

Spring Break Special: 2-2:45 p.m., Rhinelander District Library, “Ms. America Reads.” The reigning Ms America, Brittany Wagner from Hazelhurst, will read children’s stories and talk about the importance of literacy.
Artrageous: 7 p.m., Campanile Center for the Arts, Minocqua. A team of exceptional artists will paint giant works of original mural art, with images of iconic figures magically appearing, combined with live music, dancing and puppetry. Tickets and information at campanilecenter.org.

Thursday, March 21

Parent/Tot Time: 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program for ages two to three-and-a-half accompanied by an adult. Also Story Time at 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. A 40-minute program for ages three-and-a-half to six. Alzheimer’s Caregivers’ Support Group: 1-2:30 third Thursday of the month at the Oneida County Senior Center. Sponsored by Greater Wisc. chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Anyone with a loved one with any kind of memory loss is welcome. Respite care is available to those attending, with two days’ notice. 715-369-6304.
