Ripco Credit Union employees initiated a food drive challenge in January, prompted by the announced closure of Petco and the partial government shutdown.

Ripco provided a cash match for each pound of food collected at the Rhinelander branch office.

Office representatives Casey Mayo and Diane Sowinski were able to present Rhinelander Area Food Pantry with a check for $700 as a result of their efforts. Accepting the gift were Giner Chrobak, Chris Kott, Jane Motowski, Guy Hansen and UW-Extension FoodWIse Coordinator Karly Harrison.
