Star Journal report

The manager of a Rhinelander accounting office has been recognized by his company for community involvement.

Andy Cordova, CPA/CMA and manager of KerberRose Certified Public Accountants in Rhinelander, has received the first “Spirit of the Community” award given by the firm.

In 2018 KerberRose added the employee award category that was developed to honor eamployees who are making significant contributions to their community through donating their time, actions, talent and dedication.

Cordova “dedicates his time and talent to an impressive amount of community organizations and truly exemplifies the values of KerberRose through his volunteer efforts,” according a statement by the company.

“Community involvement provides a great sense of belonging, and it’s really rewarding to know my efforts are helping to serve the people and needs of my community,” said Cordova. “I am humbled and excited to be the first recipient of the KerberRose ‘Spirit of Community’ award, and I knew right away I wanted the donation to go toward an organization where I volunteer my time.”

The $1,000 donation was made to the Crescent Volunteer Fire Department on Cordova’s behalf.
