Sex offender to be released in Forest County

A convicted sex offender will be released to Forest County Thursday, Jan. 3, according to the Forest County Sheriff’s Department. James M. Lalor, 52, was convicted in 1985 of second degree sexual assault and 1992 on two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, both in Racine County.
In 2007 he was convicted in Langlade County of sexual exploitation of a child. After his initial sentence was served, Lalor was committed in 2014 as a sexually violent person. A hearing was held Dec. 7 approving his release.
Lalor will be placed on Intensive Supervision per Racine County Court Judge Mark F. Nielsen, and will be subject to the Global Positioning System (GPS). Lalor will be required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for life. The sex offender registry can be located at https://appsdoc.wi.gov/public. He will be living at 8901 Sand Lake Road in Crandon.
