Friday, Dec. 21

Lights of the Northwoods: 5-9 p.m., Hodag Park in Rhinelander. Caroling by the bon fire, children’s crafts, concessions, Santa and more. Enjoy the walking path or drive through displays. Free shuttle from Trig’s parking lot. Food donations appreciated. Runs Dec. 14-16 and Dec. 21-23.
Meals for the Hungry: Every second and third Friday, 4:30-6 p.m. at Rhinelander Church of Christ, 1103 Thayer St., by Hodag Park. Free meal to anyone. Call 715-362-3956 for more information.

Saturday, Dec. 22

Indoor Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-noon at YMCA of the Northwoods. Weekly vendors vary; products sold to include eggs, root crops and mixed vegetables, pumpkins, apples, jams, jellies, salsa, cheese, homemade breads and more. For more information, call 715-362-9622 ext. 118.
Skate with Santa: 5-6 p.m., Rhinelander Ice Arena, with open skate to follow until 7:30 p.m. $3 per skater, rentals available for $3. For information, call 715-369-1416 or visit RIA Facebook page.

Lions Christmas Dinner: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Nativity of Our Lord Church. Enjoy Christmas with the community. Delivery available for those who cannot go out, call 715-282-5904 before Christmas Day, or 715-490-0048 between 9 a.m. and noon on the 25th.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

In Progress: 7-9 p.m., last Wednesday of every month, at ArtStart Rhinelander. An evening dedicated to sharing your craft, however finished it may be: storytelling, poetry, music, comedy, theater, etc. Reserve your spotlight by text, 715-550-0177 or phone, 715-362-4328.

Thursday, Dec. 27

Snowmobile Safety Class: The class will be taught by the WI DNR at the St. Germain Community Center and sponsored by the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club. Pre-registration is required. Parent/Tot Time: 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program for ages two to three-and-a-half accompanied by an adult. Also Story Time at 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. A 40-minute program for ages three-and-a-half to six. Warm for Winter: 10 a.m.-noon, Friendly Village, 900 Boyce Dr., Rhinelander. Warm bedding, footwear, outerwear, clothes, accessories in all sizes to be given to anyone who needs them. No income limits, no questions. Bring a bag for items. 715-362-7157 for more information.

Personal Essentials Pantry (PEP): Last Saturday, monthly, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. First United Methodist Church, 724 Arbutus St., Rhinelander. Personal items for people in need. New clients should bring documentation of food pantry, WIC, BadgerCare or Food Share program participation.
