Walter Leon Meyer, age 78, died Thursday, Dec. 13. He was born Oct. 4, 1940 in Rhinelander to Donald and Dorothy (Krause) Meyer.

Walter is survived by his wife, Maxine; son Corey (Jennifer) Meyer; four grandchildren; sisters, Donna and Georgene; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Everyone who remembers Walter is asked to celebrate his life in their own way, raising a glass of your favorite beverage would be quite appropriate. Instead of flowers, Walt asks that each of you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in his name. (Carlson Funeral Home)
