Star Journal Report

A third round-trip flight from Rhinelander to Minneapolis is coming to the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport for the summer travel season. Airport director Matthew Leitner announced the addition Tuesday.

“This mid-day round-trip flight will make it easier and more convenient for travelers who are flying to and from the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport during the busy summer travel season.”

Leitner said the addition demonstrates that SkyWest and Delta have a strong commitment to the “furtherance of commercial air service for Rhinelander and the surrounding region,” adding that “This truly is a dream realized and the culmination of a comprehensive effort involving many parties committed to the airport’s continued grown and success.”

The first mid-day SkyWest flight is June 14.
