Flag football champs named

Team Bucketheads won the championship of the YMCA's adult flag football league.

The inaugural season of the YMCA of the Northwoods adult flag football league has come to a close.  Bucketheads, with captain Tony Santilli, was the league championship team.

Coming January 2019, the Y will begin ‘Call Your Own’ co-ed volleyball league and ‘Call Your Own’ men’s basketball league. The volleyball leagues will begin Jan. 15 and run Monday nights from 6-9 p.m., with A and B-leagues.

Monday night is reserved for seven A-teams and seven B-teams. The basketball league will begin Thursday, Jan. 18. These Thursday night games are reserved for five teams with games from 6:45-9 p.m. The fee for either a volleyball or basketball team is $150 per team.
