Iliopoulos

A Tomahawk man is being held on $50,000 cash bond in the Oneida County jail after being charged Wednesday with three felonies including first degree child sexual assault. The alleged assault took place Tuesday at Northwoods Community Elementary School. The man, Stavros Iliopoulos, 65, was an “independently contracted employee from Victory Janitorial Inc. that worked at the school” as a janitor according to a joint release by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and School District of Rhinelander.

Iliopoulos is scheduled to appear in Oneida County Circuit Court for an adjourned initial appears Nov. 27. NCES staff contacted the Sheriff’s Office School Resource officer after the alleged victim reported an incident to staff.

The sheriff’s office and School District of Rhinelander continue to investigate the incident.
