Downtown Rhinelander will look a little brighter and merrier this holiday season, thanks to a $13,000 grant from the community foundation. The grant was used for lighted street pole wraps that have been added this year.

The downtown lighting is an ongoing project for Downtown Rhinelander Inc.  in 2017 snowflakes were purchased and installed in partnership with the city of Rhinelander. The design committee has been working on replacing holiday lighting since planning for the new streetscape began. DRI plans to add another component to the display as fundraising allows.

The Rhinelander Community Foundation awards grants for projects and programs that impact Rhinelander in a positive way. A new competitive grant and review process will begin in 2019.
