Each summer Downtown Rhinelander Inc. makes the downtown streets come alive with colorful flower baskets. The Flower Basket Project, run by Downtown Rhinelander Inc., is funded through community donations to offset the costs to create and maintain 115 hanging baskets each summer.

One of the project’s major contributors is GFWC Rhinelander Woman’s Club. DRI board members said without the club’s $2,000 donation, and those of countless others, plus volunteers including Marilyn Norden, Beth Kost, Sandy Bergman and Forth Floral, the flower baskets would not exist.

Pictured is the check presentation from GFWC Rhinelander Woman’s Club and DRI representatives.
