Saturday, Sept. 29

Beef-A-Rama: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Minocqua. Rump Roast Run, games, food, craft show, live music. Beef sandwich sales 10 a.m. until gone. Visit Beef-a-Rama.com for complete schedule and more information.
Hodag Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. through Oct. 15 at Pioneer Park. Buy local in-season food and make connections with the people who grow it. Meats, produce, cheese, bread and much more. Visit HodagFarmersMarket.com for more information.
Northwoods Fall Color Hike: 9:30 a.m., Lincoln County Forest. Hosted by Northwoods Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. Explore 4.5 mile loop along Heineman Road that follows several glacial summits with over 500 vertical feet of climbing; or explore 2.5 miles of the trail and be shuttled back. Moderate difficulty. Rhinelander Alumni Soccer Game: 12:30 p.m., Mike Webster Stadium. Monday, Oct. 1

Cranberry Bog Tour: 10 a.m.- noon; take a bus from the St. Germain Chamber office to Nokomis Cranberry Marsh. Cost is five dollars. For more information visit www.st-germain.com or call 715-477-2205.
Baby Storytime: 10:15 a.m. Mondays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program designed for ages six months to two years; simple stories, fingerplays and music. Social/playtime follows. 715-365-1070 ext. 1073.
Old School Arts and Learning Center Open House: 4-6 p.m., Oct. 1-4. New location, Riverview Hall, 903 Boyce Dr., Rhinelander. Licensed after school and no-school care for ages five to 12, unplugged, hands on. For more information, contact Louise Perreault, 715-420-0300 or [email protected]

Tuesday, Oct. 2

Music Garden: 5:30-6:15 p.m., Tuesdays through Nov. 6 at Crescent Elementary School music room. For ages birth to five years with an adult caregiver. Instructor is Tondra Koser from Family Resource Connection. $10/per family. Part of the School District of Rhinelander Community Education program. Technology Open House: 4:30-6:30 p.m., District Training Lab at Rhinelander High School. Free and open to anyone age 18 and over with questions about how to use technology, but pre registration is required by visiting the school district website, community section. Thursday, Oct. 4

Fashion Show Fundraiser: Noon, Holiday Acres in Rhinelander. Hosted by Pelican Lake Women’s Civic Club. Silent auction, raffles and door prizes. Funds raised support scholarships, needs and welfare of community. For tickets and information, call 715-487-5564 or 715-966-3285.
Parent/Tot Time: 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. Twenty-minute program for ages two to three-and-a-half accompanied by an adult. Also Story Time at 10 a.m., Thursdays, Rhinelander District Library. A 40-minute program for ages three-and-a-half to six. Latin Film Series: 7-9 p.m., ArtStart, showing “Coco,” the story of a young boy who dreams of becoming a musician like his idol, which his family forbids. Saturday, Oct. 6

Wine and Beer Tasting: 5-8 p.m. at the Boulder Junction Community Center. Sponsored by the Friends of the Boulder Junction Public Library as a library fundraiser. Tickets include wine and beer tasting, appetizers, desserts and a free raffle ticket. For more information, call 715-385-2050.
