Saturday, Aug. 4

Oneida County Fair: 10 a.m.-11 p.m., Pioneer Park in Rhinelander. Carnival rides, live entertainment, 4-H exhibits, contests. See the Lakeland Cloggers noon-2 p.m., Dangerous Fun Show 3:30 p.m., Mike Stone Trio 4-7 p.m. and Paisley Craze 8-11 p.m. Visit ocfairwi.com for schedule of events.
Hodag Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. through Oct. 15 at Pioneer Park. Buy local in-season food and make connections with the people who grow it. Meats, produce, cheese, bread and much more. Visit HodagFarmersMarket.com for more information.
Pig in the Pines: 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. at St. Germain Community Park. BBQ and bands with live music all day and night including evening headline Brian Howe. For more information call 715-477-2205.
Wabeno Art and Music Fest: 10 a.m.-10 p.m., in and around the Wabeno band shell, Hwy 32 in Forest County. Folksongs of Another America: 6 p.m., concluding the Libraries Rock! Summer ready program, James P. Leary will discuss his award winning book. Folksongs are the basis for all vocal music. At the Rhinelander District Library. For more information, call 715-365-1070.

Tuesday, Aug. 7

Make It! Camp: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Aug. 7-9 at Three Lakes High School Fab Lab, for ages 12-18. Students will learn to be a designer, maker and computer coder using hands-on practice and real-life applications. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. Rhinelander Historical Society: 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 S. Pelham St. Guided tours and information about Rhinelander’s past. 715-369-5004.

Wednesday, Aug. 8

Wild Instincts Program: 3:30-5 p.m., ArtStart, Rhinelander. Mark Naniot, from Wild Instincts Wildlife Rehab Center, and a red-tailed hawk and a barred owl bring to life ArtStart’s current exhibition. Learn how to be a better steward in keeping birds safe. Free admission, but donations at the door will benefit Wild Instincts. Concert on the Riverwalk: 7 p.m., at the band shell near Trig’s in Rhinelander. Final concert of the season features bluegrass band Monroe Crossing. Performances are free, donations appreciated. Lakeland Area Mountain Biking: Wednesday night rides in the Lakeland area. Visit the LAMBO Riders Facebook Page for times and locations weekly.
