Rose Marie Nelson, age 85, of Rhinelander, died Monday, July 23, 2018. She was born May 1, 1933 in Centuria to John G. and Linea T. (Holmberg) Peper.

Rose is survived by her children, Linda (Alan) Sumwalt of Dousman, Thomas Nelson of Rhinelander, David (Melody Shaltis) Nelson of Rhinelander, Nola Nelson of Milwaukee, Gerald (Vicki) Nelson of Rhinelander and daughter-in-law, Nancy Nelson of Benton Harbor, Mich.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters-in-law, Francis Wohlwend of Stillwater, Minn., Janet (Wallace) Hermann of Plymouth, and Ella (Gene) Peper of Balsam Lake; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar K. Nelson; son, John O. Nelson, and her brothers.

Visitation for Rose will be held Friday, July 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hildebrand Funeral Home, and Saturday, July 28 from 3 p.m. until the 4 p.m. funeral service, both at First United Methodist Church in Rhinelander with Rev. Mark Gilbert officiating.
